Measurement of the Organization’s Environmental Footprint

Phase Two of the STREAM Program facilitate the measurement process an organization’s energy and environmental footprint.

  • Implementation of an energy and environmental benchmarking
    system for the organization’s operations
  • Development of Key Performance Indicators to enable
    measurement of progress
  • Communication Plan that shares these initial benchmarking results with the appropriate stakeholders in the organization.

STREAM’s Two-Star Sustainability Certification is achieved by successful completion of the above.

Implement Energy and Environmental Improvement Programs

Phase Three of the STREAM Program begins the implementation of processes and projects within the organization to drive operational efficiencies while reducing their energy and environmental footprint.

  • Implementation of an energy and environmental benchmarking
    system for the organization’s operations
  • Create an Employee/Community Engagement Program
  • Communication Plan that shares these initial benchmarking results with the appropriate stakeholders in the organization.

STREAM’s Three-Star Sustainability Certification is achieved by successful completion of the above.

Sustainable Supply Chain Programs

Phase Four of the STREAM Program will extend an organization’s sustainability initiative to their supply chain to drive additional cost savings, improve resiliency and reduce total environmental footprint.

  • Develop and implement a sustainable supply chain program that
    encourages suppliers to reduce their carbon footprint
  • Provide sustainability education programs for suppliers
  • Communication Plan that incorporates the supply chain initiative’s performance and results into the organization’s reporting strategy

STREAM’s Four-Star Sustainability Certification is achieved by successful completion of the above.

Phase Five of the STREAM Program creates programs and process that encourages customers and communities to participate in the organization’s sustainability initiatives.
